Luz

Luz is a loving, resilient, and cheerful 6-year-old girl living in Murillo, Bolivia. She is currently in grade 1, where physical education is her favorite subject. Luz is an affectionate and protective child who enjoys singing, playing with dolls, and playing games with her friends. Despite facing severe health challenges in 2024, including lung failure that requires her to be mindful of physical exertion and attend regular check-ups, she remains eager to learn and full of joy. Inspired by her medical journey, she dreams of becoming a doctor when she grows up.

She lives in an adobe home with a calamine roof alongside her mother, two sisters, and grandmother. Her mother works hard at various jobs to provide for the household. Supporting a family of six and managing ongoing medical check-ups and care alongside routine living expenses makes providing for educational supplies and household needs a constant financial struggle.

Sponsorship enables children to attend class every day and have the supplies they need to complete their education, grow up healthy, and achieve their dreams.
