Jyothika

Jyothika lives in Amaravathi, India. She is a very bright 14-year-old in Grade 8, where she is excelling in all of her subjects, although she particularly likes language arts (Telugu). She also enjoys drawing in her free time. When Jyothika finishes school, she has her sights set on becoming a doctor.

Jyothika lives with her parents and brother. Her father works in construction but he can only work a few days a week due to his epilepsy. His meager wages are not enough to sustain the family’s basic needs, including the school fees for the children. Being part of the child sponsorship program would be a wonderful opportunity for Jyothika. It would greatly help this struggling family and ensure she can continue her studies and gain a foundational education that will allow her to achieve her goal of becoming a doctor.

Sponsorship enables children to attend class every day and have the supplies they need to complete their education, grow up healthy, and achieve their dreams.
