Jonathan

Jonathan is a very energetic six-year-old boy living in Luhombero, Tanzania. While he’s just in kindegarten, this little boy already knows he wants to be a teacher because he likes learning new things and wants to pass that on to other children. His favourite subject is language arts and when he’s not in school, he likes to play soccer with his friends and listen to music.

Jonathan lives with his mother, grandmother, and brother in a very small stone house with a thatched roof. His mother and grandmother work as small-scale farmers. The income is not consistent and is not enough to cover the family’s expenses. For Jonathan, being part of the sponsorship program would be a huge help for the family and would ensure Jonathan has everything he needs to finish school and reach his goal of becoming a teacher.

Sponsorship enables children to attend class every day and have the supplies they need to complete their education, grow up healthy, and achieve their dreams.
