John

John is a dedicated 75-year-old father and husband living in a two-roomed brick home with a metal sheet roof in Mwambui Village, Kenya. Though he enjoys farming, dry weather and low rainfall in his region make harvests difficult. John copes with ongoing health conditions, including chronic backache, hyperacidity, kidney issues, chest pains, and insomnia, which make even light physical tasks challenging despite continuous treatments.

John lives with his devoted wife, Tabitha, who works casual jobs to help provide for their household, which includes six children currently in school. Despite his health limitations, John does his best to support his family, keeping a hopeful outlook and relying on his faith.
