Jaquilin

Jaquilin is a nine-year-old, Grade 4 student living in Tabon, a community near Pulilan in the Philippines. She loves to learn and especially enjoys math. She likes to spend her free time playing traditional games, and stays active playing volleyball with her friends. Jaquilin dreams of becoming a doctor one day because she wants to help children become healthier. At home, Jaquilin helps by washing the dishes and doing simple household tasks.

Jaquilin’s parents have been separated for some time. She and her younger brother currently live with her aunt’s family while her father works as a factory labourer to help support their needs. Being part of the child sponsorship program would be a great opportunity for Jaquilin and would help ease this struggling family’s financial burden. It would ensure she is able to continue in school, where she will gain a foundational education that will allow her to eventually achieve her goal of becoming a doctor.

Sponsorship enables children to attend class every day and have the supplies they need to complete their education, grow up healthy, and achieve their dreams.
