Iris

Iris is a calm and friendly 15-year-old boy living in Tamil Nadu, India. He is currently in grade 9, where language arts and English are his favorite subjects. Iris is an active youth who enjoys drawing, cycling, playing kabaddi with his friends Mariyan and John Medio, and caring for his neighbor’s children. Driven by a desire to innovate and build, he dreams of becoming an engineer when he grows up.

He lives in a brick home with a metal sheet roof alongside his mother and four sisters. Following his father’s passing due to illness several years ago, his mother became the sole provider for the family, working as a daily wage laborer. Supporting a large household on a single, modest income makes providing for daily living needs and educational expenses a continuous financial struggle.

Sponsorship enables children to attend class every day and have the supplies they need to complete their education, grow up healthy, and achieve their dreams.
