Edimar

Edimar is very ambitious and bright 16-year-old girl living in Puente Alto, Chile. Already in Grade 12, Edimar has big dreams of becoming a doctor after graduating medical school one day. Right now, she excels in math but she is also a huge volleyball fan and likes to spend her free time at school perfecting her serves and spikes. Like most teens, when Edimar is not in school she loves listening to music. 

Edimar lives with her sister and mother, who raises the two children on her own. While her mother does her best, the family currently lives in a camp in a very small wood home with sheet-metal roofing. Raising two girls as a single mother can often be difficult for Edimar’s mother, who always does her best to ensure the girls remain in school. Despite her efforts, her income is not always enough to cover the expenses. Sponsoring Edimar would be a great help for this family and go a long way to helping her finish high school and eventually attend medical school.

Sponsorship enables children to attend class every day and have the supplies they need to complete their education, grow up healthy, and achieve their dreams.
