Camila

This sweet two-year-old little girl lives in San Borja, Peru, a very small community far from the city of Chiclayo. Although Camila doesn’t say many words yet, she understands her twin brother perfectly! She loves playing with her dolls and doodling with coloured pens. She is also a big fan of apples and arroz con pollo, chicken and rice.

Camila lives with her parents and two brothers in a small home made of thick, earthen walls (adobe) with a calamine roof. The community they live in doesn’t always have running water, often only for a few hours at a time because of the low water pressure. Her father works hard as a welder and her mother is a stay-at-home mom, taking care of little Camilla and her brothers.

Although her father works tirelessly to ensure the family has everything they need, it can often be difficult to meet the monthly expenses with three young children and inconsistent work. Sponsoring Camila would ensure she grows up healthy and successful.

Sponsorship enables parents and caregivers to give their toddlers safe and happy years before starting school through improved nutrition, timely healthcare, and strong community support.
