Debora

Débora is a happy, loving, and healthy 6-year-old girl who is currently thriving in the first grade in El Palmo. She is a dedicated student who is excited about learning her vowels, practicing her numbers, and learning how to draw. Débora has a very caring nature and loves helping her mother watch over her little sister. In her free time, she enjoys eating chicken with potatoes and apples, playing dolls and ball with her siblings, and playing ball during recess with her new friends, Marina, Karla, and Sofía. Inspired by her love for learning, Débora holds a beautiful dream of becoming a teacher when she grows up!

She lives with her parents, two brothers, and her little sister. Her mother, Karina, stays home to care for the children, while her father works hard as a construction assistant to support the family. Because construction work can be highly seasonal and unpredictable, a single assistant’s wage is a constant financial strain for a household of six, making it very difficult to balance daily living expenses with steady school costs.

Sponsorship enables children to attend class every day and have the supplies they need to complete their education, grow up healthy, and achieve their dreams.
