Adriana

Adriana is a diligent and multitalented 9-year-old girl who is currently in the 4th grade. She is an enthusiastic student who loves mathematics, and in her free time, she enjoys reading books and memorizing poetry. She is also very active outside of her regular studies, taking bandura classes and attending a local dancing club. Adriana has a weakened immune system and frequently catches colds, requiring extra care to stay healthy.

She is growing up in a large family with her older sister, Yuliia, and three younger brothers, Ivan, Dmytro, and Oleksandr. Her mother works as a shop assistant and her father works as an agricultural machinery operator, but they both receive small wages. The family does not own a home and must rent an old house that lacks modern amenities. Living in western Ukraine, they also face the constant terror of the ongoing war, experiencing frequent power outages and frightening air raid sirens. Balancing the high costs of supporting five children, renting a home, and managing medical needs under the strain of wartime inflation creates an overwhelming financial burden for her parents.
