Carlos

Carlos is an industrious and bright 11-year-old boy who is currently thriving in the sixth grade. He is a dedicated student whose favorite subject is math, and he actively helps out at home by feeding the chickens his family raises for food. In his free time, he enjoys eating tangerines and his favorite meal, noodles.

He lives with his parents and siblings in a small village where his father works hard in the fields planting corn and lentils, while his mother dedicates her time to caring for the family. The household faces significant infrastructure challenges; while they recently received electricity, they still lack running water and sewage services, relying on a water truck that visits only once every 15 days.
