Blessed

Blessed is a bright nine-year-old boy living in Mapulanga, Zambia. He is a dedicated student who does well in almost all of his subjects, carrying a special love for literature and English classes. In his free time, he loves singing and running outside to play soccer with his friends, John and Peter. Blessed is also very helpful around the house, regularly assisting his family by sweeping, collecting firewood, and fetching water. When he grows up, he dreams of becoming a military officer.

He shares a brick home with a thatched roof alongside his mother and two brothers. His mother works hard as a subsistence farmer, growing maize and sweet potatoes entirely for the family’s own consumption. Because the household relies on small-scale farming without any surplus crop to sell for income, covering basic daily necessities and educational costs is a constant strain. A steady sponsorship will bring vital relief to their home, ensuring Blessed has the food, clothing, and school supplies he needs to stay in the classroom and achieve his goals.
