Belinda

Belinda is a brilliant 12-year-old girl living in Mikinduri, Kenya. Currently a dedicated fifth grader, she loves mathematics class, singing, and playing soccer with her friends. She also faithfully attends Sunday services and enjoys studying hard to excel in school. Driven by a deep desire to make her family proud, Belinda dreams of becoming a doctor when she grows up.

She lives under the care of her grandmother, Florence, alongside her brother and sister in a wooden home with a metal sheet roof. Her grandmother is the sole breadwinner for the household and earns a living through occasional casual jobs. Relying on unpredictable, temporary work makes it highly challenging to manage daily expenses for multiple growing students. Balancing basic necessities like food with the regular costs of school supplies and fees presents a continuous financial hurdle for the household.

Sponsorship enables children to attend class every day and have the supplies they need to complete their education, grow up healthy, and achieve their dreams.
