Ayesha

This creative little girl is Ayesha. She is nine years old and lives in Sattari, India where she is in Grade 2. Ayesha’s favourite subject is language arts and she eventually wants to become a teacher so she can take care of her family and help other disadvantages children learn and also see their dreams come true. In the meatime, Ayesha loves to play cricket and is a big fan of anything pink.

Ayesha and her parents live in a temporary shelter. Her father is as a day labourer, working as a mechanic. Although he works as much as he can, the work is not always reliable and is minimum wage, which as the sole provider, makes supporting Ayesha and her twin sister difficult. Ayesha’s mother stays at home to care for the twins and does her best to ensure the girls to do well in school. Sponsoring Ayesha would he a huge relief to this family, and go a long way to ensuring Ayesha continues her studies with everything she needs to eventually become a successful teacher.

Sponsorship enables children to attend class every day and have the supplies they need to complete their education, grow up healthy, and achieve their dreams.
