Adrian

Adrián is an enthusiastic 9-year-old boy living in Chiclayo, Peru. Currently in the fourth grade, he loves literature, communication, and mathematics classes. He is incredibly passionate about playing soccer, especially celebrating with his friends whenever he scores a goal. Adrián is a driven student who dreams of becoming a doctor when he grows up.

He lives with his parents in an adobe home with a calamine roof within a remote settlement that lacks basic public utilities. His father works as a plumber and painter, while his mother helps support the family by selling chicken soup from their doorstep. Navigating daily expenses on unpredictable, informal wages makes balancing basic necessities with the ongoing costs of schooling a continuous financial hurdle for the household.
