Dilapidated, unsafe conditions at Ketuo Primary School are severely disrupting education and driving down enrollment. Missing windows, leaking roofs, and an unusable kitchen force students out of classes during the rainy season, stop meal programs, and leave children exposed to dampness and illness.
To address this crisis, the Nandom site will construct a six-unit classroom block, staff common room, and new kitchen. This will directly benefit 402 students (39 sponsored, 363 nonsponsored), 112 sponsored family members, and 251 community members, alongside 556 indirect beneficiaries.

Project objectives include:
- Replace the dilapidated structure with sturdy, weather-resistant classrooms that give students a safe, comfortable environment to focus on their studies.
- Incorporate large windows in the new classrooms to maximize natural light, creating a bright, engaging atmosphere for learning.
- Build a dedicated staff room where teachers can collaborate, plan lessons, and share resources—fostering teamwork and elevating instructional quality.
- Construct a modern kitchen facility to strengthen the school feeding program, providing nutritious meals that boost student health, focus, and academic performance.
The structure will be built using locally sourced materials, solar power, and an inclusive, community-backed design, prioritizing longterm environmental and social sustainability. Operations will remain financially sustainable through low energy overhead, fee revenue, and a dedicated fund for ongoing maintenance and repairs.
The Chalice Site Director will oversee overall project delivery and financial reporting, while the Non-Sponsorship Coordinator manages day-to-day operations and the site engineer provides technical consultation and contractor oversight. This structured management approach ensures complete transparency, exceptional structural quality, and rigorous stewardship of every donor contribution.
