At our Konta, Ghana site, Tong was in overwhelming pain. Doctors quickly diagnosed him with an inguinal hernia. The intensifying pain in his abdomen made working difficult and even performing life’s simple daily activities challenging. Knowing that the cost of surgery was out of reach for his family, Tong felt helpless, unsure of where to turn for help.
That’s when the Chalice Critical Needs Fund stepped in and funded Tong’s medical care, including his surgery, medications, follow-up consultations, and travel to and from the hospital. To help him recover faster, the fund even covered his essential nutritional needs.

Today, thanks to our donors, Tong is completely recovered and he is feeling strong and ready to get back to work to help support his family again.
With gratitude, he shared: “May God bless all donors and stakeholders for your kindness and generosity. Your support gave me a second chance of good health. Thank you for standing by me when I needed it the most.”
