Instead of being welcomed home, she was placed in intensive care, where doctors worked tirelessly to stabilize her fragile condition.
Medical assessments revealed a serious neurological condition affecting her entire body. Zeresh was diagnosed with a form of cerebral palsy that limits her movement and development, along with recurring seizures that continue to threaten her well-being. Since then, her days have been filled with quiet battles—moments of discomfort, frequent crying, and limited responses to the world around her.
At just two years old, Zeresh is unable to sit, roll over, or follow objects with her eyes. Each small milestone that most children reach naturally remains a distant hope. Yet, within this struggle, there are gentle signs of life—her calm reactions to her mother’s voice, the comfort she finds when held close, and the quiet resilience she shows each day.
Her mother carries her everywhere, balancing the weight of caregiving with the need to earn a living. With very limited means, she continues to bring Zeresh for physiotherapy sessions, administer medication when possible, and hold onto hope that her child’s condition can improve. Despite these efforts, the care Zeresh urgently needs remains out of reach without further support.
