Annai Mukilan is a young student with bright dreams and a deep sense of responsibility toward his family. Pursuing his studies in engineering, he balances academics with helping at home, quietly working toward a future where he can uplift those he loves.
One ordinary day, while carrying out a simple act of care—delivering lunch to his sister—his life changed in an instant. On the way home, he met with a severe road accident that left him critically injured. What followed was a painful and frightening journey marked by emergency hospital transfers, urgent surgeries, and days spent in intensive care.
Doctors diagnosed him with a compound grade 3A fracture of the femur along with fractures in his knee. The injuries were severe, requiring immediate surgery. Metal plates were inserted into his leg to stabilize the broken bones, and he endured intensive treatment to manage his condition. Despite the doctors’ efforts, his recovery was not straightforward. Complications arose, and he had to be readmitted, receiving further treatment including blood transfusion.
Today, although his bones have begun to heal, his journey is far from over. He remains unable to walk independently and must rely on a walker. Regular physiotherapy, medication, and follow-up care are essential for his recovery. For a young man who once walked confidently toward his dreams, this sudden loss of mobility has been both physically and emotionally overwhelming.
His family, already struggling with limited and irregular income, did everything possible to save him. In their desperation, they borrowed money to cover the urgent medical care. Now, alongside his slow recovery, they face the heavy burden of debt and uncertainty about the future.
