Veera

Veera is a 14-year-old boy from Udayarpalayam, India. He is in grade 9 and loves language arts. Veera enjoys reading and playing kabaddi, a popular traditional sport that combines tag and wrestling.

He dreams of becoming a police officer to help keep his community safe. Veera lives in a dirt house with a tile roof alongside his parents. His father is partially paralyzed and unable to work, and his mother works very hard, but her modest income is not enough to cover all the family’s needs. Despite these challenges, Veera is determined, caring, and focused on his studies and future.

Sponsorship enables children to attend class every day and have the supplies they need to complete their education, grow up healthy, and achieve their dreams.
