Serhiy

Serhiy is a 9-year-old boy from Supranivka village, Ukraine. He is in grade 4 and loves physical education class. Serhiy enjoys helping at home and takes pride in being responsible. When he grows up, Serhiy hopes to be a healthy and kind person. His family has faced great challenges, as his stepfather was badly injured while defending their country. Serhiy lives with his mother and two brothers in an old, rented two-room adobe house with a metal sheet roof. The home does not have a water supply, so the family must collect water from a neighbour’s well. Despite these hardships, Serhiy continues to stay positive and helps his family in any way he can.  Sponsorship enables children to attend class every day and have the supplies they need to complete their education, grow up healthy, and achieve their dreams.
