Scholastica

Scholastica is a 68-year-old woman from Songea, Tanzania. She enjoys praying and finds strength and comfort in her faith.

Scholastica lives in a brick house with a sheet metal roof, but her home does not have access to water or electricity. She faces ongoing health challenges, including a leg condition, which make it difficult for her to carry out daily tasks.

Since the passing of her husband some time ago, Scholastica has had to manage on her own. She is no longer able to do the farm work she once relied on to support herself, making it difficult to meet her basic needs.

Despite these challenges, Scholastica remains resilient and hopeful for support to help improve her daily life. Sponsorship enables elders to eat well, access healthcare and medication, and connect socially with a community that fosters a sense of belonging.
