Salome

Salome is a joyful four-year-old girl full of energy who lives in Wa, Ghana. She is a helpful and God-fearing child who enjoys singing and has a strong love for science class. Eager to study hard and build a better future, Salome is already looking ahead and deeply dreams of becoming a nurse one day so she can save lives.

She shares a brick home with a metal sheet roof alongside her parents and three sisters. Her parents work as peasant farmers in the community of Bulingin, where irregular rainfall patterns make it difficult to successfully manage their crops. These unpredictable weather cycles lead to very low yields, leaving the family facing extreme financial strain where they sometimes struggle to feed the household. A steady sponsorship will bring life-changing relief to her home, lifting this heavy economic burden so Salome can get the proper nutrition, clothing, and learning materials she needs to stay in the classroom.
