Ruth

Ruth is a determined 17-year-old girl from Mwense, Zambia. She is in Grade 7 and enjoys home economics and literature classes, where she continues to grow in both knowledge and confidence. Ruth loves playing netball and dancing, bringing energy and joy to the activities she takes part in. She dreams of becoming a teacher one day so she can inspire and guide other children. Ruth has a visual disability, but this does not stop her from always doing her very best. She is resilient and committed to her education. She currently lives at a boarding school for visually impaired children, where she is working hard toward a bright and independent future. Sponsorship connects teens with disabilities to inclusive educational, occupational, and social activities that help them see their strengths and achieve their dreams.
