Roderick lives with his parents, three brothers, and sister in a single room cement house in Tondo, the Philippines. He is currently in grade six at school and is an excellent student – literature and science are his favourite classes. When he is not busy with school, Roderick loves to play basketball and spend time with his friends. His father works as a pedicab driver and his mother sells snacks, their combined income does not cover all of the support needed to go to school. When he grows up, Roderick dreams of becoming a police officer! Sponsorship enables children to attend class every day and have the supplies they need to complete their education, grow up healthy, and achieve their dreams.
