Oscar

Oscar is an energetic nine-year-old boy is from Dandafuro, Ghana. His favourite subject in his Grade 4 class is science. He is also an avid reader. When Oscar is not in school he loves to play soccer with his friends. He also really likes police uniforms, so he wants to become a police officer when he grows up.

He lives with his parents, two brothers, and sister. Both of his parents are small-scale farmers with limited income. Although they work hard every day, they struggle to meet the family’s basic needs, including Oscar’s school fees, books, and supplies, which puts his education at risk. Sponsoring Oscar would relieve the family’s financial strain and ensure Oscar gains the solid educational foundation he will need to be successful and reach his goals.
