Oleksandr

Oleksandr is an 8-year-old boy from Pidvolochysk, Ukraine. He is in grade 2 and loves physical education class. Oleksandr enjoys helping around the house and spending time with his family. When he grows up, he dreams of becoming a robot constructor. He is curious and eager to learn, especially when it comes to building and creating things. Oleksandr lives with his mother, brother, and grandmother in a brick house with a tile roof. His mother is raising the children on her own and works as a school janitor, earning a modest income. She also takes on temporary jobs whenever possible to provide for her family. Despite the challenges, Oleksandr is a cheerful and helpful boy who looks forward to a bright future. Sponsorship enables children to attend class every day and have the supplies they need to complete their education, grow up healthy, and achieve their dreams.
