María

María is a 9-year-old girl from Chiclayo, Peru. She is in grade 4 and loves math and science classes. María enjoys riding her bike and has a wonderful memory, often reciting poetry at school. She dreams of becoming a teacher one day so she can help others learn and grow.

María lives with her parents and brother in an adobe house with a calamine roof. She is a bright, curious, and hardworking girl with a love for learning and a joyful spirit.
