Magdalena

Magdalena is an 83-year-old woman who lives in Mahaya Village, Kenya. She enjoys storytelling and finds strength in her faith, trusting in God each day. She is a widow who has experienced the loss of her children and is now cared for by her grandchild, who supports her as best as possible. Magdalena is living with serious health challenges, including limited vision, and is no longer able to work. Magdalena lives in a modest home made of earth with a sheet metal roof. She would benefit from additional support as she navigates daily life. Sponsorship enables elders to eat well, access healthcare and medication, and connect socially with a community that fosters a sense of belonging.
