Kathini

Kathini is a 76-year-old widow from Kingingo, Kenya. She enjoys caring for her grandchildren and finds purpose in supporting her family despite the many challenges she faces. Kathini has three children and currently lives in an adobe (mud brick) house with a sheet-metal roof. The house is small and in poor condition, and four family members share a single room.

Sponsorship connects adults with disabilities to inclusive educational, occupational, and social activities and enables them to live dignified and healthy lives, regardless of their level of independence.
