Isabella

This very active 11-year-old girl from Poblacion, Philippines has a big dream of becoming a teacher when she’s finished school. In Grade 4, Isabella, who goes by Bella, loves school, especially literature, something she would also love to teach other children one day. She also enjoys dancing any time and anywhere. After school, Bella regularly helps her mother with household chores — once she finishes her homework.

Bella is the youngest of six siblings. Her father works as a farmer, and her mother is a housewife. Two of her older brothers are already working as construction workers, while four of the siblings are in school. Since her father’s income from farming is seasonal, the family struggles to meet their daily needs, including school allowances for the children who are in school.

The family lives in a single room with a divider that separates the room into two sections. Being part of the Chalice program would be a great blessing for Bella and her family and would help put her one more step toward reaching her goals.

Sponsorship enables children to attend class every day and have the supplies they need to complete their education, grow up healthy, and achieve their dreams.
