Hryhorii

Hryhorii is a 13-year-old boy from Kovel City, Ukraine. He is a diligent student in grade 5 who particularly enjoys his mathematics lessons and has a deep curiosity for how things work. In his free time, he loves reading about electronics and repairing electrical appliances. Inspired by his father, he dreams of becoming a builder when he grows up and cherishes the time they spend together learning practical skills like stacking firewood and gardening.

He lives with his parents and his younger brother, Dmytro, in a cement home with an asbestos roof. His mother works as a hairdresser to support the family, while the household manages with careful savings for utilities and medicine. Despite the challenges of the ongoing war and frequent illnesses in the winter, Hryhorii remains a grateful and motivated young man who values his education and the safety of his community.
