Gloria

This loving little girl is Gloria, an eight-year-old from Aldea Nimapa, Guatemala. Now, in Grade 2, Gloria loves literature class. She also enjoys learning and doing new things, so she is extremely eager to go to school. When she’s not in class, Gloria loves to read, write, and draw, often creating very colourful pictures that typically have a lot of purple, her favourite colour. She also enjoys playing basketball and comics. Gloria says that when she grows up, she wants to be a nurse.

Gloria lives with her mother, sister, grandmother, and other family members in a small home. As a single parent, Gloria’s mother does her best to ensure she has what she needs to be successful in school, but it can be hard for this family to cover all of their expenses. Sponsoring Gloria would ensure she can continue with her studies and go on to graduate. It will give her the foundation to be successful and eventually become the nurse she aspires to be.

Sponsorship enables children to attend class every day and have the supplies they need to complete their education, grow up healthy, and achieve their dreams.
