Gastón

This sweet little six-year-old boy is from San Martin, Paraguay. Gastón is currently in preschool where his favourite subject is art. He loves to draw and often makes beautiful pictures for anyone and everyone. He also enjoys the lovely warm breakfast and lunches he is able to get at school. When he’s not in school, Gastón likes to spend time with his little brother. When he grows up, Gastón wants to become a teacher because he enjoys school and wants to pass that love onto other children.
Gastón’s father, Josè, is a construction worker. Although he works as much as he can, his job is very much dependent on the weather, so when it rains, he does not work. His mother, Maria, is a stay-at-home mother, who takes care of the children. Maria is very concerned about her children’s education and wants Gastón to be able to finish school, so he has the opportunity to become a professional and follow his dreams.
The family currently lives in a small two-room home someone has graciously allowed them to stay in, as they cannot afford to own a house. Being part of the Chalice Sponsorship Program would ease much of the financial strain on the family and ensure Gastón continues his education with everything he needs to be successful.
Sponsorship enables children to attend class every day and have the supplies they need to complete their education, grow up healthy, and achieve their dreams.
