He is motivated to study hard so he can achieve his dream of becoming a police officer one day. David lives with his mother in a brick home with a calamine roof. His mother works as a cook and domestic worker, doing her best to provide for him. David is a cheerful and determined young boy who is focused on building a bright and hopeful future.
