Cathleen

Cathleen is a 7-year-old girl from Tondo, Philippines. She is in grade 1 and especially loves her social studies class. A friendly and active student, Cathleen enjoys drawing, coloring, and playing “teacher” with her friends. She is already learning to read in Tagalog and can count to 100, and she dreams of becoming a teacher one day to help other children learn to read and write.

She lives with her father, brother, and two sisters in a cement house with a metal sheet roof. Her father works as a delivery driver with an inconsistent income, while her mother works abroad as a domestic helper to support the family’s education. Cathleen is a hardworking young girl whose family is deeply grateful for the support that helps her pursue her bright future.

Sponsorship enables children to attend class every day and have the supplies they need to complete their education, grow up healthy, and achieve their dreams.
