Yuliya is a young mother whose life has been shaped by both determination and profound hardship. Despite living with Type 1 diabetes since her childhood, she has continued her education and is raising her young daughter with courage and resilience. However, her already fragile health has been overshadowed by a far more serious and life-threatening condition.
Over the years, Yuliya’s diabetes has led to multiple complications affecting her nerves, vision, and overall strength. More recently, she has been diagnosed with chronic kidney disease along with a severe structural abnormality of her kidneys. One of her kidneys has already lost its function, while the other is only partially working.
Her condition causes constant pain, swelling, weakness, and exhaustion. Even simple daily activities have become overwhelming. The inability of her body to properly remove toxins has further worsened her health, leaving her in a fragile and uncertain state. She has already endured repeated hospitalizations, including moments when her life hung in the balance.
Doctors have now made it clear that urgent surgical intervention is her only chance. Without this procedure to restore proper kidney function, Yuliya risks complete kidney failure, which would leave her dependent on dialysis for survival. For a young mother living far from medical facilities, this would be devastating—not only for her, but also for her small child who depends entirely on her care.
Yuliya’s family is doing everything they can, but their limited means are stretched beyond their capacity. They are already burdened with ongoing medical costs, daily expenses, and the responsibility of caring for multiple family members. The weight of this situation has become overwhelming.
Support at this critical moment would offer Yuliya a chance not only to survive but to continue living with dignity. It would allow her to regain strength, care for her child, and hold onto the future she has worked so hard to build despite every obstacle.
