International Women’s Day is March 8, 2026 and this year’s theme – Give to Gain – really reflects what your support does for women and girls in our sites every day. Working together we uplift women and give them the skills and opportunity to take control of their own future.
Skills That Build Confidence and Income
Thanks to your contributions, the tailoring center at Baraka site was successfully set up and trained 19 women in knitting and tailoring. Throughout the program, the women have training on various techniques, including:
· Knitting Sweaters: Learning the technics of creating high-quality sweaters for adults and school sweaters for children.
· Making Caps and Woolen Bags: Developing patterns and assembling vibrant caps and woolen bags.
· Crotchet Skills: Gaining proficiency in the art of crocheting, producing beautiful, handcrafted items that reflect their dedication and creativity.
