Teresia

Teresia is a 74-year-old woman who lives in Songea, Tanzania. She enjoys spending time at home and doing daily chores, and she values a peaceful and quiet life. Teresia previously supported herself through farming, but after an accident, she is no longer able to work and now has difficulty walking. Despite these challenges, she remains resilient. She lives in a brick home with a sheet metal roof. Access to food and medical care has become more difficult, and she would benefit from additional support. Sponsorship enables elders to eat well, access healthcare and medication, and connect socially with a community that fosters a sense of belonging.
