Salbaira

Salbaira is a cheerful nine-year-old girl from Manila, Philippines. She is in Grade 3 and loves math class, where she enjoys solving problems and learning new skills.

In her free time, Salbaira likes to play games and draw, expressing her creativity through art. When she grows up, she dreams of working with children and becoming a teacher. She is ambitious and eager to learn, always doing her best at school. Salbaira lives with her parents, three brothers, and one sister in a plywood house with a sheet-metal roof. She especially enjoys eating mangoes and loves the colour pink. When a sponsor can no longer sponsor a child, Chalice works to match them with a new sponsor as quickly as possible, so the child does not experience a difference in their support. Chalice buffers the transition period from a limited fund, but for the children, there’s no-one as special as a sponsor!
