Rens

Rens is a 13 year old boy from Tondo in the Philippines. He is in Grade 8 and enjoys his social studies classes. In his free time, Rens enjoys playing basketball. Rens hopes to become a police officer one day. He loves his family and dreams of helping them live a better life. This inspires him to work hard in school and continue pursuing his goals. Rens lives in a cement house with a sheet metal roof with his parents, two brothers, and a sister. His mother is the only one currently working to support the family, as his father is unable to work due to chronic health issues. This makes it difficult to meet the family’s daily and educational needs. Sponsorship enables children to attend class every day and have the supplies they need to complete their education, grow up healthy, and achieve their dreams.
