Renalyn

Renalyn is a responsible 13-year-old girl from Manila, Philippines. She is in Grade 7 and loves literature class, especially reading and sharing stories. One of her favorite activities is reading books to younger children, which reflects her caring nature.

At home, Renalyn helps with household chores and takes pride in being dependable. When she grows up, she dreams of becoming a teacher so she can inspire and support other children through learning. Renalyn lives with her parents, one brother, and one sister in a wooden house with a sheet-metal roof. Her father is often ill and unable to work, while her mother continues to work hard despite living with a chronic illness. Although her parents do their very best, they often struggle to meet the family’s most basic needs and Renalyn’s educational expenses. Sponsorship enables children to attend class every day and have the supplies they need to complete their education, grow up healthy, and achieve their dreams.
