Karly

Karly is seven years old and lives in Caserío Los Angeles, Guatemala. She is in Grade 1, where she especially enjoys language arts—she likes practicing her lessons, learning numbers, and growing more confident each day. She is a happy and sociable girl who finds joy in simple, creative play. Karly loves spending time with her dolls, singing, and riding her bicycle. At home, she also has a gentle, caring heart—especially when it comes to animals. Karly is helpful and responsible, too. In the afternoons, she helps sweep the yard and tidy up, doing her part to support her family. She lives in a wooden home with a metal sheet roof, together with her relatives, her brother, and her sister. Karly dreams of becoming a teacher one day, inspired by her love of learning and her caring nature.
