Doris

Doris is a hopeful 12-year-old girl from Juakali, Kenya. She is in Grade 2 and enjoys language arts class, where she is learning to grow in confidence and skill. Outside of school, Doris helps by grazing cows and contributing to her family’s daily life. When she grows up, she dreams of becoming a doctor so she can care for others in her community. Doris lives with her father, brother, and sister in a wooden house with a sheet-metal roof. She is grateful for support and hopeful that, with encouragement and opportunity, she will be able to achieve her dreams. Sponsorship enables children to attend class every day and have the supplies they need to complete their education, grow up healthy, and achieve their dreams.
