Baina

Baina is an 81-year-old woman who lives in Mwangaza, Tanzania. She enjoys reading the newspaper and spends time in prayer, giving thanks to God for His blessings and asking for good health. She is a calm and humble woman who is cared for by her grandchildren. After the loss of her husband, she is no longer able to work and now depends on the support of her family. Baina lives in a brick home with a sheet metal roof. Her family faces challenges in balancing daily responsibilities and education while caring for her. Sponsorship enables elders to eat well, access healthcare and medication, and connect socially with a community that fosters a sense of belonging.
