Mongam, a twenty-one-year-old from India, had dreamed about his future since childhood. He envisioned a career in medical studies, but he understood that his family’s financial situation meant his parents wouldn’t be able to afford it.
Children are big dreamers; their imaginations soar with endless possibilities like becoming a superhero, doctor, or astronaut. For Rupali, her visions were cut short when she was younger, she didn’t think further than her family’s basic needs. However, when Rupali received sponsorship through Chalice, she began envisioning her future differently.
There is no better feeling than accomplishment. For Anamika, graduating meant more opportunities and a chance to provide a better future for her family. As the fresh graduates gear up for the next leg of their journey, Anamika is grateful and says that her family “can move forward towards a better life.”
Mahima’s family lost everything. An unexpected fire broke out and destroyed their home and all their belongings. Thankfully, no one was injured, but the family of five came home to discover that all their possessions had burned. It was going to take a lot of work to recover from this.
