Help 1500+ high school students see graduation day.
In Haiti, families grapple with despair as political turmoil and gang violence escalate. Essential goods like rice and oil have become luxuries, pushing many families to the brink of starvation.

As a new school year looms in October, soaring tuition fees and uniform costs pose a real threat to students’ dreams of education. Tuition fees at some schools increased by as much as 20%, and the price of uniforms doubled. School textbooks, which were already expensive, became even more inaccessible for many families.
Parents face an agonizing choice: feed their children or send them to school. In 2024, that meant about 26 sponsored children had to drop out of school. Among them, some have traveled to the Dominican Republic in hopes of finding work to support their siblings staying in Haiti.
Thanks to those who supported our Haiti North education program last year, 462 secondary school students (grades 10–13) received the funds they needed to cover tuition, supplies, and uniforms. Of all the students who received your help, 95% were able to stay in school and finish the academic year. The impact of last year’s program was tremendous given the economic conditions in Haiti.
“The program not only kept students in school but also empowered them to pursue higher education and career goals, breaking the cycle of poverty through education,” says Edley, Haiti North site director.
This year, Edley and the Haiti North team will support 1,520 sponsored students with extra funding in September to help with education costs. The students will receive the budget on top of their regular sponsorship support.
“Your generosity does more than pay fees,” says Claudely, a recipient of last year’s support and aspiring doctor. “It fuels a future where the doctor in the clinic remembers what hunger feels like.”
