Chalice works in impoverished communities to help struggling families overcome the cycle of poverty. Education is the first and most important step in breaking the cycle. Too often, children must skip class or drop out of school to carry water, care for siblings, or earn money for their families.

Sponsorship gives children the support needed to overcome obstacles so they can attend and stay in school, and allows families to provide nutritious food and better care for their children. Children are selected for sponsorship based on need and family circumstances, regardless of race, age, ability, gender, or religion. Education gives every child the opportunity to shine.

Become a sponsor today. Break the barriers and let nothing hold us back.

Chalice and COVID-19

Chalice report on COVID-19

Here at Chalice, we are continuously monitoring updates regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19). As of today, March 17, 2020, the following safety measures have been put into effect.

Our head office in Bedford, Nova Scotia, is currrently closed to all volunteers and visitors. We are still open and staffed during our regular office hours and will be able to answer phone calls and emails, with some forwarding delays. We are working diligently to ensure that our programs and the funds sent to our sponsor sites continue without interruption. You can still access our website anytime.

We will continue to update you as the situation progresses. Please join us as we pray for the safety of the children and families that we serve, our supporters, and for all of our brothers and sisters around the world affected by the virus.
