Chalice volunteers are the reason we are able to direct such a high proportion of donated funds to children and families who need them. In our office and across the country, men, women and children who believe in our mission are the most powerful advocates we have. Thank you for joining us on our mission of service and solidarity to those in need.
Volunteer position available
Chalice Canada is looking for Ukrainian, Swahili, and French translators.
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, as is the case with community organizations in Canada, Chalice overseas partner organizations have had to change how they work. With many partners' offices closed and staff working from home, we need to decentralize how work is getting done; rather than reports being prepared and sent from offices in English, we need the possibility of non-English speakers being involved in report preparation and submission. In order fort this to happen, the interface of Chalice's Sponsor Site database, which is currently in English and Spanish, must be translated into Ukrainian, Swahili, and French. Since this is not a budgeted position, we are looking for fluent volunteer speakers/writers of these three languages to volunteer with us to translate the GRID interface.
Chalice (Canada) is a Catholic, Nova Scotia-based organization. Through the generosity of our Canadian supporters, we are able to work in more than 200 communities around the world to provide opportunities for children to receive an education, families to become stronger, and communities to become self-sustaining.
If you are interested in applying for this volunteer position, please send your resume and cover letter to firstname.lastname@example.org no later than August 15, 2020.
Speak for Chalice as a “Chalice Champion”
