Who we are looking for:

Chalice (Canada) is seeking a permanent, full-time Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join in the leadership of the organization. Reporting directly to the President of Chalice, the CFO is responsible for planning, implementation, and management of all financial functions of Chalice. The CFO also works as a member of the Senior Management team to implement the strategic vision for the organization while exemplifying Chalice’s Catholic faith and values.

In addition to providing timely and accurate financial reporting and ensuring regulatory compliance, the CFO also provides leadership to the local and international finance teams, as well as provides guidance to the organization through management of the budgeting and forecasting process in addition to other important financial tasks.

The ideal candidate for this position is an accredited accounting professional with at least 10 years of progressive accounting experience and 5 years of senior leadership experience, including direct involvement in strategic planning. They would hold an in-depth knowledge of the Catholic church and working environment and, in line with Chalice’s mission, a consistent commitment to faithful service in the Body of Christ, visible in active participation in the life of a local parish or diocese. In addition to the above, the best candidate would bring working experience with not-for-profit or charity management, knowledge and experience in working internationally, exceptional interpersonal skills, strong leadership qualities, dynamic presentation skills, and a desire to share their wealth of financial and operational knowledge in faithful service to the mission of Chalice.
